The awning window can be up to 14" high and 20" wide. The awning window will open into the Kitty Kat Kabana and reduce the head space available for your pet. However, when mounted, the floor of the Kitty Kat Kabana is 3" below the louver adding to the available head space. |

The awning louvers can be up to 14" high (in total) and 20" wide. Make sure your cat(s) will be able to comfortably pass through the louvers. The louvers will open into the Kitty Kat Kabana and reduce the depth available for the pet to lounge near the window. However, when mounted the Kitty Kat Kabana's floor is 3" below the lowest louver adding to the available room. |

NOTE - If your non-awning type window is higher or wider than the maximum dimensions shown below then there may be a gap above or beside the Kitty Kat Kabana. You could just fill the gap like you fill the area around a window air conditioner. Reflective bubble wrap Insulation or rFOILTM (available at Home, Lowes etc) works great and easily slips into the window groove while pressing against the Kitty Kat Kabana Enclosure to keep out insects and block evidence of an opening that a cat may try to wiggle through. For your convenience, each Kitty Kat Kabana comes with a 16" by 24' piece of rFOILTM that you can with cut with scissors to custom fit, if your oversize window requires it. Don't forget that windows need not be slid all the way open, but rather just enough to allow your cat(s) to come and go comfortably.
